Biography

Jason B. Trauth, Esq., is a Junior Partner in the Miami office. He has tried more than 45 cases to verdict. Jason is well-versed in all phases of litigation, having handled numerous cases on behalf of his clients in every setting, from federal and state courts to AAA arbitrations and administrative hearings. Jason has briefed and argued cases before the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal of Florida and the Nevada Supreme Court. He is proficient in German.

Jason focuses his practice handling contract disputes, insurance coverage litigation, first amendment litigation, product liability including wrongful death and catastrophic injury litigation, and premises liability cases. He also handles, commercial litigation, construction defect, governmental liability, liquor liability, negligent security and trucking matters. Jason was also previously a shareholder at a boutique regional firm that specialized in commercial, construction, and condominium law.

Jason counsel’s clients to help them manage the risks and rewards of litigation by aggressively seeking favorable resolutions swiftly and efficiently. His efforts have resulted in many favorable settlements, summary judgments, and pretrial dismissals. Jason prides himself on concentrating maximum time and effort on his clients’ claims from their inception to resolution.

Jason has a strong commitment to the Miami-Dade community. He previously served as the Chairman of the Miami-Dade Unsafe Structures Board, as well as, President of the Palmetto Bay Broncos youth football organization. Jason also previously served as a member of the vestry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Coral Gables. As a former United States Marine, and from a family of veterans, veteran’s issues are uniquely important to Jason as he volunteers his time advancing the interests of veterans, servicemen and women, and their families through assisting with the Veteran’s Court project in Miami-Dade County and other ventures. He continues to look for opportunities to serve and improve our community.

Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1999. He obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, graduating cum laude in 2003.

Jason is admitted to practice in Florida (2004) and Nevada (2008). He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern (2005) and Northern Districts of Florida (2011), the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, and to the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
