Jonathan M. Ray
Biography
Jonathan Ray, Esq., is a Junior Partner in the Orlando office and has been practicing law for 32 years. He has substantial trial experience as lead defense counsel in over 40 jury trials. He concentrates his practices in construction defect claims, premises liability, automobile liability, trucking liability, wrongful death and general liability matters. He also handles employment discrimination claims and municipal liability matters.
Over the course of his career, Jonathan has conducted hundreds of depositions of both lay and expert witnesses including accident reconstruction engineers, neuropsychologists, orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons. On the construction defect side, he has conducted depositions of structural engineers, civil engineers, roofing contractors, foundation contractors, and architects. Early on in his career he was in-house counsel for a major insurance carrier where he implemented a litigation management system and supervised attorneys and paralegals. Jon has handled claims involving allegations of sexual misconduct of school teachers and school district personnel with a student.
Jon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College, graduating magna cum laude (1983). He obtained his Juris Doctor from University of Wisconsin Madison Law School (1986).
Jon is admitted in Florida (2017) and Wisconsin (1986). He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Wisconsin and United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Judicial Circuit.
